Mara Leventhal is a Partner in the Firm. Ms. Leventhal's practice focuses on complex financial, securities and corporate litigation, mediation and arbitration. She has extensive experience representing domestic and international clients, including corporate entities, insurers, law firms and prominent individuals, in a broad range of commercial and business disputes.
Ms. Leventhal joined the Firm in 2002. Prior to joining the firm, she practiced at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP. She also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jed S. Rakoff of the Southern District of New York. Ms. Leventhal received a J.D. degree from New York University School of Law in 1994 and a B.A., cum laude, from Dartmouth College in 1990.
Ms. Leventhal is a member of the Bar in New York and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second, Eleventh and D.C. Circuits, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. Ms. Leventhal served as a member of the New York City Bar Association's Committees on Professional Responsibility from 2012 through 2015 and Professional and Judicial Ethics from 2003 through 2006.
